Cows milk allergy

Hey, this is is my cows milk allergy page,I've done this because my first born was intolerance to milk.

My daughter was born 7/7/2012 5 weeks early she was my little prem baby🚼 she suffered with jaundice the first month then that went. But then we started to notice that she was sick alot and everytime she passed wind it would sound like a exploction and and bits of lumpy stringy watery stolls would be in her nappy, we thought she just had a poorly tummy but then she kept getting really constipated to the point where she would scream with bellyache and couldn't go on her own. We had to bend her knees and push onto her stomach doing the bicycle motion that didn't work all the time so we tryed warm water dipped an cottonbud into it and wet her bum a little bit to stimulate it, eventually she would be able to pass stolls bit because it's was all backed up they where really big so it hurt.
When she turned 3 months she passed wind along with the stringy stoll bit this time it had blood in.
We panicked and took her to hospital I kept the nappy cause it was easier to show them than tell them and as soon as they seen it's they knew she has cows milk allergy. We was at the hospital for 6-7 hours they came back and gave us some new milk called neautramigen lipil 1 and said she should of grow out if it by the age of 4, the milk was vile but she didn't know any different and took to its like a duck in water, as she got older I was scared that she would get hold of chocolate ect from the kids but there was always an adult about cause we was living with his mum so was okay.
In January 2013 we moved into our own family home! She was 6 months on jar foods she loved the fruit jar foods the meal jars she didn't have much to choose from as alot of them had milk in it, you would have to check the ingredients on the back it's would say "contains milk" that's a nono.

She moved onto solids around 10months and we was stuck again on what to get her that don't contain milk, we got her veg but she was not having it! So we got her batterd chicken took the batter of and she yammed it she also liked fish fingers. When she turned 2 she was giving some chocolate from her friend and left her too its as I would of know straight away if she was still intolerent or not and she was okay her stolls where still normal so.I Started getting things with.milk in it and treating her to chocolate every.now and.then and She Was fine.

She is now neally 3 on the 3rd July and the allergy has gone she can now eat things containing milk so she's making up for what chocolate she missed before.

My prize portfolio

I started comping around March time at first I would only do 1 here or there, but then I kept seeing my friends getting wins, so I started getting into it abit more and now I'm obsessed! It's like an addiction! I.made a separate account just for competitions so I don't annoy people with loads of posts.
Feel free to add me as a comping buddy.

Exclusive expressing breastmilk

Hey! Welcome to my exclusive pumping breastmilk page, I've decided to do this page as I'm a pumping mummy myself.  In here tells you about the benifits of breastmilk, why express, what is expressing milk, how to express, how to store milk, and my own little bit about my journey. Hope this help, thanks for reading.

<u><strong>Benifits of breastmilk</strong></u>

Breast milk is the only natural food designed for your baby.

Once you've expressed your milk, you can store it in the fridge or freezer to feed to your baby later, if you don't need it straight away.

Breastmilk protects your baby from infections and diseases. E.g.
less chance of diarrhoea and having to go to hospital as a result.
Fewer chest and <a href="http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/Pages/coughs-colds-ear-infections.aspx">ear infections</a> and fewer visits to hospital as a result.
Less chance of being constipated
Less chance of developing <a href="http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Eczema-(atopic)/Pages/Introduction.aspx">eczema</a>.

Expressing provides health benefits for mums e.g. Lowers your risk of getting breast and ovarian cancer.
Naturally uses up to 500 calories a day.
Saves money – infant formula, the sterilising equipment and feeding equipment can be Costly.

<u><strong>Why express breastmilk?</strong></u>

If you express your milk, your baby can still have the benefits of breastmilk if she's not able to breastfeed, or if you can't be with her all of the time.

If your baby was premature she may not be able to take milk straight from your breast at first. Or you or your baby may have another problem or illness that makes breastfeeding difficult for the time being. Expressing your milk can help with these challenges.

There may be times when you need to be away from your baby, whether for just a few hours, or because you have gone back to work. Expressing milk means that your baby can carry on enjoying breastmilk while someone else is caring for her.

If you're away from your baby for long spells, you will also need to express while you and your baby are apart. This prevents your breasts from becoming too full and uncomfortable. Expressing milk is also a great way to increase your milk supply.

<u><strong>What is expressing milk and how to express.</strong></u>

Expressing is a way of taking breastmilk from your breast without your baby needing to suckle. You can do this by using:
Your hands

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-hand-expressing-breast-milk-300x275.jpg"><img title="hand-expressing-breast-milk-300x275.jpg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-hand-expressing-breast-milk-300x275.jpg" /></a>

Always wash your hands before you start expressing. <a href="http://www.babycentre.co.uk/x552877/how-can-i-express-breastmilk-by-hand">Expressing by hand</a> is the cheapest option, as you don't need anything more than a clean container, such as a jug, to catch the milk, and bags or lidded containers to store it in.
Hand expressing does take a bit of getting used to, though. The trick is to put pressure on the milk ducts behind your nipple, rather than squeezing the nipple itself. It's a useful knack to have, as it can also help you to relieve your breasts if they're <a href="http://www.babycentre.co.uk/a231/engorged-breasts">too full</a>.

A manual pump

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-avent_draw_l.jpg"><img title="AVENT_draw_L.jpg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-avent_draw_l.jpg" /></a>

I found the manual pump took too long I used be doing it up to 45 minutes with a hand pump. Manual pumps you put a breast phalange (or shield) over your nipple, but you extract the milk by operating a squeeze mechanism or pulling a plunger with your hand rather than relying on a motor.

Electric pump

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-ardo_calypso_box.jpg"><img title="ARDO_Calypso_Box.jpg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-ardo_calypso_box.jpg" /></a>

I have the eletric pump as seen above, it's a ARDO calypso, I've rented it from hospital get to keep it till I'm finished only have to pay £10 at the end.
It usually takes 10 to 15 minutes to pump both breasts with a good electric pump,I pump a little longer sometimes 30 mins on both.To use an electric pump, you put a breast phalange (or shield) over your nipple, turn the machine on, and let it do the work of suctioning your milk into an attached container.

<u><strong>How should I store my milk</strong></u>

You can store breast milk in a feeding or storage bottle that's made of plastic or glass. A secure cap will keep it fresh. (Many pumps come with storage containers.) You can also use a plastic bag made especially for storing milk( I see to.use bags but are not reusable. Fill the container three-quarters full if it's going in the freezer, to allow for expansion.

For convenience, store the milk in the amounts that you normally use at a feeding. (If your baby typically takes 3 ounces, then store in 3-ounce portions.)
Remember to write the date on the bottle or bag before putting it in the <a href="http://www.babycenter.com/404_how-long-does-breast-milk-stay-fresh_8918.bc">refrigerator or freezer</a> so you'll know when you pumped it. (You'll want to use the oldest milk first.) Don't combine fresh milk and frozen milk (by topping off a frozen container with some fresh milk, for example).

You may be surprised to see what breast milk looks like. It's normal for the fat to separate and float to the top, and sometimes the milk has a bluish hue, especially early on. (Your milk color may also be affected by your diet or medications.) Don't shake the milk. Instead, gently swirl it to mix the fat back in.Your milk shouldn't smell or taste sour, but after thawing milk sometimes has a slightly soapy smell from the change in the fats. This is perfectly fine. The process of freezing destroys some of the antibodies in the milk, so don't freeze it unless you have to. But frozen breast milk is still healthier and offers more protection from disease than formula does.

<strong><u>My little pumping story</u></strong>

I have got 2 kids my eldest is my daughter 3yrs old &amp; my boy 11weeks tomorrow(13thmay2015). I didn't breastfeed with my daughter cause wasn't sure how to do it( I did regret not giving her breastmilk in the end) for some time she cudent keep her milk down and she had explosive diarrhoea even when she passed wind and constpaction(had to help her) at 8 weeks old she passed wind followed by blood in her poo, me and my partner took her to hospital and they diagnosed her with cows milk intolerance, they put her on neautramigen lipil 1 it's tasted absolutely vile but she didn't mind, her body can now tollerate milk. So when I feel pregnant with my boy I thought he might be intolerance too, so I did abit of research on it and went ahead with it. The first week or two after my boy was born my breast felt like rocks had to express every 2-3 hours and was banging out 9oz each breast so 18oz everypump

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-img_20150501_144341.jpg"><img title="IMG_20150501_144341.JPG" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-img_20150501_144341.jpg" /></a>

That lasted about 2 weeks, around 8 week into it went to 9oz from both breast, Now at 11 weeks in I get 7oz from both breast pumping every 5 hours

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0085.jpg"><img title="DSC_0085.JPG" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0085.jpg" /></a>

Sometimes I do (power pump&#x1f4aa;) meaning I pump both boobs for 20-25 mins, rest for 10mins pump for 10,rest 15 pump.10 again&nbsp; It's hard work and sometimes I feel like giving up it is very time consuming and your life evolves round you and your pump. But I look at my boy and he makes me carry on. If your a powerpumping mummy and have tips for myself or other pumping mums then leave a comment :-)&nbsp; and also Well Done you've made it this far! Keep pumping!

Dahm right!

Review for Samsung hoover

I am happy to have the chance to review a samsung calypso bagless cylinder vacuum cleaner from Samsung send by ao.

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-vc15rhndc6b_rd_vacuum_fr_l.jpg"><img title="vc15rhndc6b_rd_vacuum_fr_l.jpg" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-vc15rhndc6b_rd_vacuum_fr_l.jpg" /></a>

So the hoover arrived with very fast delivery. The first thing I noticed was the smart/sleek design of the hoover quite stylish. It's a very light weight hoover which makes it easier to get around and pick up(e.g. Upstairs).

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0084.jpg"><img title="DSC_0084.JPG" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0084.jpg" /></a>

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0140.jpg"><img title="DSC_0140.JPG" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0140.jpg" /></a>

I like the design of the handle and where the settings are, easy to hold and change settings. Tbh it's the first hoover I've seen with a handle like that. There are 3 suction setting min, med, high.

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0104.jpg"><img title="DSC_0104.JPG" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0104.jpg" /></a>

<a href="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0139.jpg"><img title="DSC_0139.JPG" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://miizzeysblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/wpid-dsc_0139.jpg" /></a>

It's comes with 4 different heads. The 1st head (as seen in the pic) is the 2 step brush, I don't get on with this head very well, when I put the hoover on high I can barely push it along the carpet and sucks my rug up,when I turn my suction down it barely picks up.

The 2nd head you see is the mini turbo brush, it's for cleaning sofas and it's works fab, as I have 2 children you can imagine it's gets abit messy under my sofa cushions so this is quick and easy use.

The 3rd head is the power pet brush, this is my favourite head, I can use this on my carpet, rug and have used it in my kitchen too! It gets all the hair up well(my hair falls out alot), and with the suction up high I don't have no struggle hoovering.

The 4th head is for curtains, and getting in the ceiling corners which I have trouble with as I'm only 5 "3,  with the extendable pipe I can reach! &#x1f602;  this is very easy to use and does the job.

The only other problem I have with the hoover other than the head is the main on/off button ontop of the hoover, you push it on the left side and it.don't turn on, you push it in the middle and still don't turn on,but if you press it on the right it works.

All in all its is a nice little sleek hoover my first time using a samsung brand and I'm happy to of had to have the chance to review and keep the hoover, I will most definitely recommend it to family and friends.
